ORGANIC INGREDIENTS

Born from one woman's refusal to feed her dog mass-produced treats. Built on love, small-batchrecipes and the memory of the dog who started it all.

Mugzy's Barkery began in a home kitchen. What started as care for one Olde English Bulldog became a small business serving health-conscious pet parents across two states. When Mugzy passed, his photo stayed on the packaging — because some things are too important to let go of.

The brand simply needed to grow around the love that had always been there.

THE CHALLENGE

His face had been on every bag since the beginning. Familiar to every faithful customer, impossible to forget.
What she wanted now was packaging just as memorable as the dog who started it all.

THE LOGO

Translating a real, beloved dog into a logo required more than illustration skill — it required emotional intelligence. The brief carried the weight of grief and love in equal measure.

THE AUDIENCE

Designed for the parent who reads every ingredient.

The Mugzy's customer is health-conscious, informed, and emotionally invested in their dog's wellbeing. They don't impulse-buy — they choose with conviction. The packaging had to earn trust at a glance, communicating craft, transparency, and care simultaneously. Premium didn't just mean beautiful. It meant honest.

THE SYSTEM

The first two concepts and the choice that led to a fusion of both.

Concept 1

Concept 2

The final packaging system made a decisive creative pivot. Rather than full-bleed saturated colour as the hero, the system adopted a warm sand/cream base across every SKU — creating a unified, collectible identity on shelf.

Unified Warm Base

#E5D8C7

A sand/cream ground runs across every SKU. On shelf, the line reads as one cohesive brand — not a series of products competing for attention.

SINGLE-ACCENT ILLUSTRATION BASE

Each SKU's illustration appears in one accent colour against the beige. Bold without noise. The colour differentiates the variant; the illustration tells the ingredient story

THE RESULT

Every SKU. One visual language.

The brand system extended beyond dog treats to a handmade cat treats line — demonstrating the scalability and flexibility of the identity. The Mugzy's Barkery badge and warm cream base translated seamlessly.

A complete brand system. Built to scale. Built to last. Built around an unforgettable dog.
